EPD: Vandalism suspects fired handgun when woman confronted them

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Police are investigating several cases of graffiti vandalism on the west side, including one at the EPD west sector office.

Police say during one of the vandalisms, one of the suspects fired several shots from a handgun when a woman tried confront them. She was not hurt. 

Officials say at least 3 places were spray painted.

They include 605 E. Franklin, the EPD west sector office at 401 E. Columbia, and 1300 W. Iowa.

EPD says they are working to determine of the graffiti is gang related and if so, which gang it is associated with.

Police say car the suspects were in is a silver early 1990's Buick or Oldsmobile.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
