The Warrick County Sheriff's Office has released information on the arrest of 34-year-old Jeremy Dorris Jones, of Providence, Kentucky.

Officials say the sheriff's office began an investigation into allegations that Jones molested a young woman in both Warrick and Posey counties during the period of 1994-2001. The victim was interviewed at Holly's House Child and Adult Victim Advocacy Center in Evansville in August.

After a month-long investigation, the case was submitted to the prosecuting attorneys in Warrick and Posey Counties with a request for criminal charges.

Authorities say Jones was charged in Posey Superior Court on September 27 with one count of Child Molesting as a Class A Felony and one count of Incest as a Class B Felony.

A warrant was issued for Jones' arrest. Additional charges of Child Molesting as a Class B Felony, and Class C Felony and Incest as a Class B Felony were filed on September 28 in Warrick Circuit Court.

Officials say Jones was arrested Wednesday, September 27 by the United States Marshal's Task Force and the Providence, Kentucky Police Department on the Posey County arrest warrant.

He is currently being held in the Webster County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing.
