EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The Fall Festival kicked off with Family Day on Sunday.

Kids games and rides were packed with children getting in on the action before the full festival starts on Monday. Kids were anxious to get into the bumper cars and to win those giant inflatables.

14 News spoke with a lot of parents who told us they brought their kids out on Sunday because they don't have to fight the crowds that will start pouring in when the non-profit food booths open.

"We love bringing the kids down here. It gets so hectic through the rest of the week, this is the day for them, it's safe. There's plenty of kids down here. They feel a lot more comfortable," father Justin Schaefer said.

If you aren't quite brave enough to tackle the crowds this year, there's one woman who has a plan to bring those pronto pups to you.

"I'm going to offer a food delivery service for those who can't get down here on their lunch break but still want to enjoy the Fall Festival food," Andrea Huggins said.

West sider Andrea Huggins is no stranger to the Fall Festival, but this year she'll be busier than ever.

"I have a lot of supporters that are going to help me pull this off, and hopefully, it won't be too crazy for me," Huggins said.

Huggins worked with the food vendors to be able to skip the lines and pick-up the large orders. With her own parking spot, she can get in and out quickly and deliver the food hot to you.

"Pronto pups, grilled tenderloins, Texas tenderloins, strombolis, or fresh apple cider," Huggins said.

Just to name a few.

There is a 30 item minimum for businesses placing orders. The delivery charge, roughly $1 per item is included in her prices.

Huggins says to ensure timely delivery, to contact her as early as possible to reserve delivery day and time.

You can call her at 812-431-5439, email her at andreahuggins@netzero.net, or send her a message here on her Facebook page.
