OHIO CO., KY (WFIE) -
An autopsy is scheduled on the body of a woman who authorities say was murdered in Ohio County.
Kentucky State Police were called to Suburban Manor Apartments in Beaver Dam around 7 Thursday morning.
That's where they say they found 24-year-old Dami-Ann Simpson dead.
They say she had been shot to death.
Her husband, 32-year-old Jeremie Simpson of Hartford was arrested at the scene.
Simpson pleaded not guilty Thursday.
He faces several charges including, murder, kidnapping, wanton endangerment, burglary, violation of an emergency protection order and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Jeremie Simpson was convicted in 1998 of wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
KSP says Jeremie violated an emergency protective order that Dami-Ann had against him, but that they were still legally married, just estranged.
Police say they were living in separate places and by being in her apartment early yesterday, he had unlawfully entered before police say he killed her.
On the kidnapping charge, police say they're looking into evidence that he had kidnapped some victims prior to yesterday's incident so the investigation is ongoing.

A preliminary hearing is set for October 8.
