Along with corn dogs and cotton candy, you'll find the City-County merger on the menu at the Fall Festival.
Those for and against City-County Consolidation plan to use the festival as a way to reach voters before the November election.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to line west Franklin Street next week, and those for and against reorganization are planning to be there, too.
"We've been given an opportunity to help with the Democratic Club booth, and we'll be helping out there and passing out literature, and we may have a few surprises down at the Fall Festival as well, we still working on those," said Bruce Ungethiem with CORE.
Citizens Opposed to Reorganization in Evansville, better known as CORE, gathered Thursday night to round up volunteers.
CORE plans to deliver the message that reorganization leads to higher taxes, less representation, and gives too much power.
"There's only a few things that haven't been consolidated and that's because it doesn't make sense to do it," said City Council member Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley.
The group in favor of reorganization, known as Yes! for Unification, is also gearing up.
Yes! doesn't plan to have a booth at the Fall Festival, because organizers want to be among the crowds.
Yes! volunteers plan to pass out buttons, t-shirts, flyers delivering the message that unification leads saved money, more efficient government, and economic growth.
"It's important for us to have one comprehensive voice," said Laurel Meny with Yes! for Unification. "Right now, we have two different governments fighting for different funds that we all could be working together to get."
One thing is sure, if you haven't made up your mind of how you plan to vote on consolidation in November, take a sample at the Fall Festival. A taste of information may help you decide.
Both groups say they plan to continue to knock on doors this weekend before the festival.
