Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say it happened on I-69 just north of the 32 mile-marker.
Police say a preliminary investigation reveals that 34-year-old Mary Moore, of Louisville, was driving a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo SUV northbound on I-69.
Investigators say for an undetermined reason, the SUV exited the left shoulder of the roadway. Mrs. Moore overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. They say it turned sideways and crashed into the median.
The SUV became airborne and struck a motorcycle that was traveling southbound.
The Hopkins County Coroner, Dennis Mayfield, pronounced the two occupants of the motorcycle dead at the scene.
Police say both victims were wearing helmets.
Mrs. Moore and her passenger/husband, 41-year-old Keith Moore, were transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Officials say their injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Mr. and Mrs. Moore were wearing seatbelts.
KSP says the investigation is ongoing.
