It's time for Owensboro community leaders to "do time" in the Muscular Dystrophy Association Lockup.
It's from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Olive Garden off Frederica Street.
The MDA uses this event to help raise money for families affected by this disease.
These lock-ups happen all over the country.
According to the MDA's website, it's the biggest fundraiser that the organization holds.
At the lockup, participants get to network with each other as they continue raising money toward their bails.
They also have the chance to meet some of the families that will be helped by the money that's raised.
Amy Jackson with the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce said, "It's a great event because all the money stays local. It goes directly to 40 families here in the local area that are affected by muscular dystrophy. Whether it's sending them to camp, whether it's keeping their medical equipment up, helping them improve their homes so that they can care for themselves."
