EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The 9th annual Hadi Shriners Toy Drive had riders out on the roads early Sunday morning.

Nearly 300 riders came out to enjoy the 90-mile route. All that was needed to join the ride was a toy, $10, and a set of wheels to participate.

The money raised goes toward Christmas at both the Cincinnati and St. Louis Shriners Hospitals.

"Just to be able to come out and give kids toys and just show our support. It's fun. It's just fun to get out and ride with your friends, and be able to do a good cause at the same time," said Ashley Dickerson with the Hadi Shriners Toy Drive.

The event wraps up this evening with dinner and a silent auction at the Hadi Shrine Temple.

Last year, the event raised more than $6,000 and after a big turnout on Sunday, organizers anticipate to surpass that this year.
