EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Its time to think pink and put our efforts together to fight breast cancer.  14 News is proud to be a 15 year supporter of the Komen Evansville Race for the Cure.

The race is this Saturday morning and you can still register in person at Old National Bank downtown on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

You can register on Saturday morning up until 9 a.m.

The survivor parade begins at 8 a.m. and the run and walks start at 9 a.m.

You should know that 75% of your registration money stays right here in the Komen Evansville district that covers 28 counties in the Tri-State.

I urge you to come out and join the Race for the Cure. 14 News will be out there with our team and of course Ann Komis will emcee the event for her 15th year.

If you can't make it , you can still make a donation. And, you can tune in for live coverage on 14 WFIE starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday .

I love the Komen theme: we live here, we race here, we save lives here.

That's their stand and mine, too.
