NEWBURGH, IN (WFIE) -

Castle High School Students learned a lesson about the dangers of drinking and driving Friday afternoon.

Students Castle witnessed an eye opening presentation from two paramedics that are faced with gut wrenching car accident scenes almost everyday.

It's a program called Street Smart, that aims to educate teens on the realities of drinking and driving.

The presentation Friday brought to attention the realities of drinking and driving, not wearing seatbelts and using illegal drugs. A team of paramedics walked students through real scenarios they've faced on the job and the reality that too many of those cases end in traumatic injuries and death.

We spoke with students after the presentation and they say some of the stories really hit home with them.
