Multiple downtown roads will be closed in preparation for Saturday's Race for the Cure.
Some of the roads are in residential areas and will require residents to remove their vehicles from the road until the event is complete.
Other roads near the Civic Center are also being closed off and have had their parking spaces marked as "No Parking" until the event is over.
Once the roads are barricaded off, there will not be any traffic allowed inside the barricades.
Police are asking residents to remove their vehicles as soon as possible and for people to refrain from parking in the "No Parking" areas.
This event is expected to draw over 15,000 people to the area. Police say they expect there will be some minor inconveniences associated with an event of that size.
