EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
Congressman Larry Bucshon says Evansville Regional Airport will get a Department of Transportation grant valued at over $11 million.
The grant is to help improve runway safety.
"Improving runway infrastructure at the Evansville Regional Airport is an important project," Buschon said.
Airport manager Douglas Joest said, "We are excited to receive this additional grant. These funds enable EVV to remain on schedule in completing the runway safety area project."
Congressman Bucshon is the only Hoosier in the U.S. House of Representatives to serve on the Transportation and Infrastructure committee.
