WESTLAKE, OH (WOIO) -
A man went on a drunken tirade after an arrest making twisted threats to police and even nurses.
A boarded up building tells just part of one bizarre story. A wild Friday that left a nurse at St. John Medical Center in Westlake injured.
"We heard like a crash and everyone ran outside to see who it was," said Collen Lazar.
Colleen Lazar was at the Rusty Barrel early Friday morning when she says a regular customer, 22 year old Christopher Warner, walked outside hoped into his car then crashed into the side of the building.
"It went through the wall. You could see through from the inside to the outside," said Collen Lazar.
Cops say after that Warner took off. They caught up with him at his house and arrested him for being drunk and leaving the scene. According to the police report he became combative and had a seizure. Police rushed him to the hospital and that's where things really got crazy.
He started spitting blood and bit a nurse. Then he reportedly threatened the medical staff saying he would commit sex assaults and kill or eat their family members.
That is a far different person from who Colleen says would hang out at the neighborhood bar.
"Whenever he would come in here he would just be alone and quiet and by himself," said Collen Lazar.
Six months ago Warner was arrested for OVI, now he's charged with the same thing including assault on the nurse, hit-skip and driving with a suspended license. The manager at the bar tells me he won't be allowed back.
