Fallen Marine to return to Indiana on Wednesday

Plans have been announced to honor a fallen marine from Southern Indiana.

Lance Corporal Alec Terwiske of Dubois County, who was killed in action in Afghanistan, will come home next Wednesday. His body will arrive at the Huntingburg Airport and be escorted to Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

There will be visitation at the funeral home Thursday.

Friday, the funeral procession will leave the chapel and travel under a Garrison flag, suspended by fire trucks, as it crosses Veterans Memorial Bridge in Jasper.

The processional will end at St. Celestine Church, where there, the funeral service is planned.

Flags have been ordered flown at half staff in Dubois County beginning Wednesday.
