VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

Two men were arrested Friday morning, accused of stealing scrap metal from two Vanderburgh County businesses.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a deputy stopped a pick-up truck turning onto St. Joseph Avenue from Industrial Park Drive, because it was speeding.

As he inspected the vehicle, the deputy noticed that it was loaded with scrap-metal, and that businesses on Industrial Park Drive were closed at the time.

Upon questioning, the two men in the truck implicated that they had stolen the scrap metal from a pair of businesses, and were arrested.

Dylan Brendel, 19, and Bo Bivens, 18, each face two charges of Class D Felony Theft.  They were taken to the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center, where they are currently being held without bond.

Court appearances for both were scheduled for Friday.
