Guilty plea entered by man accused of putting a hit on ex-wife

A Gibson County man is sentenced to 30 years, for trying to hire a hit-man to murder his ex-wife.

Jason Ray Gardner, 31, and his current wife, 42-year-old Pamela Gardner were both charged in the case.

Jason Gardner pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.

Police say he gave a man hundreds of dollars, and promised him more, to kill his ex-wife Teresa.

Police say Jason and Teresa were involved in a custody battle.

Pamela Gardner is due in court at 9 a.m. Friday morning.
