Sudden closure of an Evansville business leaves customers with questions

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The sudden closing of an Evansville business has some customers asking when they'll be getting their property back.

Michael Meece says he took his father's lawn mower to Gil's Four Seasons on Morgan Avenue more than a week ago. When he returned to pick it up, Meece says he was surprised to find the doors locked.

"Actually, the sign last week said that they were closed for inventory. Now, it just says its closed for business and left a telephone number to contact if you had equipment there," Meece said.

Owner Kelly Bockelman told 14 News her family is devastated their business is forced to close after more than 30 years. She said they are working to personally deliver equipment to more than 100 customers and it's taking time.
