MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) - Wednesday, officers seized several items from the home of Suprina Matheny.
The 37-year-old was charged with trafficking marijuana last month, but investigators say their investigation, is far from over.
Residents tell 14 News, when they heard about Wednesday's search, they weren't surprised to hear of this kind of activity from Suprina Matheny's home.
One neighbor, who didn't want to be identified, says there's been all sorts of suspicious activity for years at the home, on Kentucky 181.
"Just lot's of traffic and late night hours, building of the fences and all the protective, secretive things that they've done on their property," the neighbor said.
Wednesday ,officers seized a wide range of items from Matheny's home, including a camper, two boats, several vehicles, and four 4-wheelers, something Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force member Troy Gibson says could be related to a bigger crime.
"We believe it was acquired through illegal drug sales and we seized a bunch of that yesterday, as well as a bunch of documents related to the crime," Gibson told 14 News.
Matheny was originally arrested on august 16th after law enforcement searched her home. She posted bond that same day.
The next day Matheny was indicted on trafficking charges.
"We've got intel, I don't want it to be released at this time," said Gibson. "It relates to several pounds of meth possibly being sold a month at this location. That's part of the ongoing investigation."
One neighbor says they're glad law enforcement is taking action.
"This is a small town neighborhood and there's lots of children in the neighborhood and that's not what you would like in your small town," said the neighbor.
As of now, Matheny has not been charged with trafficking meth, but authorities say this investigation is far from over. We'll keep you updated on the latest information as it becomes available.
