PIKE CO, IN (WFIE) -

A Winslow man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for failure to register as a sex offender.

Around 3:30 p.m., Indiana State Police and members of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 59-year-old Alfred L. Braunecker.

ISP says that last week, detectives from the Indiana State Police Cyber Crimes Section conducted compliance checks in Pike County, and during their investigation it was determined Braunecker, a convicted sex offender, had moved in early May to a different address in Winslow.

Detectives say Braunecker failed to inform the Pike County Sheriff's Department of his recent move to North Walnut Street in Winslow.

Braunecker was arrested at his residence without incident and taken to the Pike County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
