Quit smoking for a chance to win $2500

INDIANA (WFIE) -

Indiana health officials are urging smokers to start training now for an October contest that challenges them to quit.

Officials say it takes planning and preparation to stop tobacco use. Some of that planning can include more exercise and more healthy eating choices.

the 2012 Quit Now Indiana contest offers participants a chance to win up to $2,500 for remaining tobacco-free for 31 days.

Contestants age 18 and older can register through the end of the month.

Contest winners will be drawn at random and will be tested to make sure they are tobacco-free before they can claim a prize.
