Sobriety checkpoints set up for Labor Day travel safety

Posted: Updated:
TRI-STATE (WFIE) -

Here's a heads up if you're going to be out on the roads this weekend. Many law enforcement agencies across the Tri-State will be conducting sobriety checkpoints.

This is to keep Labor Day travelers safe.

The exact locations of these sobriety check points are not being released.

Officials say motorists who are not impaired can expect delays of 2-3 minutes.

Troopers encourage all drivers to call 911 if they see another motorist who may be impaired.

If you do that, be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location and the direction of travel.

This goes for Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois.

All law enforcement agencies will be working overtime to make sure drivers are being safe while on the roads this holiday weekend.
