This year the West Side Nut Club's annual Fall Festival may welcome more out of towners.
That's the goal, anyway, of some marketing efforts by the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau. They'll be starting a billboard campaign next month around Terre Haute, Hopkinsville, Corydon, French Lick and Bowling Green.
The CVB has done some out-of-area marketing for other events, and is utilizing it once again for the Fall Festival.
"We've taken the event and pushed it out to markets that would hopefully attract people to come into town and stay the weekend, stay more than the weekend, but enough to have them come and spend the night, to stay in hotels," said Director of Communications for the Evansville CVB Laura Libs.
The 91st annual Fall Festival kicks off on October 1st.
