KENTUCKY (WFIE) -
September is Kentucky Preparedness Month and Emergency Management Agencies in Daviess and Henderson counties are now accepting applications for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
The CERT program prepares individuals to help themselves, family, and neighbors in the critical minutes and hours following a disaster before first responders arrive.
Henderson County sessions:
After a no-obligation orientation session on Tuesday, September 11 at 6 p.m. to explain how the CERT program will be presented, classes will then meet on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for ten consecutive weeks, September 13 through November 15.
All Henderson training sessions will be held at the Peabody Building at 1990 Barret Court - Suite F in Henderson unless otherwise designated. A final exam, full scale exercise, and
graduation will take place on Saturday, November 17.
