EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
Those displaced by the Grandview fire are being helped by the Center Township Trustee's Office.
Township Chief Investigator Barbara Isaac says her office will be donating between $3,000 and $4,000 worth of food, clothing, and cleaning materials.
On Tuesday, Isaac says local CVS stores donated pharmaceutical and cleaning supplies, as well as water for the fire victims.
She says donations from the community are being accepted at the Center Township Trustee's Office on North Fulton Avenue.
"The people that live here are elderly, disabled, you know, and some special needs. So of course, living here, they don't have any renter's insurance. You know, they don't have anything that they can do themselves to resupply what they need," Isaac said. "So, that's why I thought we could step it up at our office and see if we can help some way. If anybody else in Evansville could help with that, we'd really appreciate it."
Isaac says donations can be dropped off at the office from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, they can be dropped off from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Center Township Trustees Office is located at 3206 North Fulton Avenue.
