A Henderson County man was arrested after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call and his girlfriend was sent to the hospital with numerous injuries.
Henderson County Sheriff's Office were called to a domestic disturbance on the 5400 block of Highway 60 East on Sunday around 3:50 p.m.
Deputies say they found 30-year-old Brandi Jourdan had been assaulted by her boyfriend, 42-year-old Scott Atkinson.
Jourdan was transported to Methodist Hospital for treatment of her numerous injuries.
Deputies say Atkinson had left the residence before they arrived but was quickly located in the area of Shenandoah Place.
Atkinson was arrested and taken to Henderson County Detention Center. He is charged with assault 2nd degree and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
