ISP says man was cultivating $75,000 worth of marijuana

Indiana State Police say they have arrested a Winslow man for raising marijuana.

ISP says that during the second week of August, Indiana State Police and the Indiana National Guard Counter-Drug Section were flying over various areas in southwest Indiana looking for marijuana. 

While flying over an area north of Winslow along S.R. 61, troopers say they spotted suspected marijuana plants on 38-year-old Stefan "Von" Risley's property.

Officials say when they searched the property they found 74 marijuana plants. They say the plants ranged from three to seven feet tall.

Authorities say the plants had a the street value of around $75,000.

Officials say he was arrested on cultivating marijuana charges. 

Risley was taken to Pike County Jail, where he is being held on bond.
