Officials with a New York horse racing track have applied to purchase an interest in Ellis Park.
According to the application, Saratoga Raceway and Casino made the deal with owner Ron Geary last month, and filed the application with the Kentucky Horse Racing commission.
The commission will likely make a decision on the application at it's next meeting in September.
The commission has to approve the application before any change of control is made. Calls to Geary haven't been returned.
