PIKE CO, IN (WFIE) -

Pike County dispatch says crews will resume clean up work Thursday morning on an oil spill near the town Spurgeon.

It happened just after nine Wednesday night.

Officials are saying it's "nothing major".

They say a flow line that carries salt water broke, spilling into a strip pit.

Officials say most of the spill was contained and they were able to repair that flow line overnight.

Today they say they are assessing what needs to be cleaned up.

Officials say nothing was released to state waters.
