Sister city ambassador arrives in Evansville to study at USI

A sister city ambassador from Mexico arrived in Evansville on Wednesday night.

Rotary Club members are sponsoring the visit of Adriana Mezo who will be a student at the University of Southern Indiana.

She is a representative of Evansville's sister city of Tizimin in the Yucatan Peninsula and she's the daughter of the community's leader.

"That's why I'm here, to cooperate for a closer connection between Evansville and Tizimin for the future," Adriana said.

Adriana will be visiting classes in the EVSC and attending community events. Initially, she will study English as a second language and then enroll in business courses at USI.
