Even though the tri-state remains in an extreme to exceptional drought, rain this month has helped and several communities have lifted their Burn Bans.
Union County ended their Burn Ban on Tuesday, which means all of our western Kentucky counties are now Burn Ban free.
Daviess and Pike counties in southwest Indiana have also lifted their bans, but they remain for every other county, including Vanderburgh.
As of this morning, White and Wabash County dispatchers had not been advised whether the bans there had been lifted, so we're keeping those up until we hear otherwise.
It's important to remember that even if your county is no longer under a Burn Ban, we're still experiencing severe drought conditions, so you should be extremely careful with any outdoor burning.
