Evansville Police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday morning.

Officers say a 17-year-old girl was dropped off at St. Mary's Medical Center around 1:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound.

Her injury is considered to be non-life threatening.

We're told the shooting occurred at 673 Sweetser Avenue.

This is the same area where a police standoff took place on Monday. Police aren't calling the two incidents related at this time.

Detectives are working right now to gather more information and figure out what happened.

The victim first said the shooting occurred in the area of Garvin and Grand, but then said it happened at 673 Sweester Avenue.

Officers say the conflicting information is making the investigation more difficult.

Authorities say they have no one in custody at this time, but say Thomas D. Bevinger is the wanted suspect.

EPD says Bevinger is a white male, five foot four inches tall, and 200lbs. They say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Officers say Bevinger is being sought on felony battery with a deadly weapon charges.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911 immediately. Police say do not approach him.
