LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Bullitt County man faces some serious charges after police say he sexually abused a young girl. Not only is he behind bars, but two of his relatives, including the child's mother are also charged.

This case all started to unfold after the victim's father, who lives in Arizona, alerted authorities out there.

They were able to get in contact with Lebanon Junction Police, where the alleged abuse took place.

Police say Michael Fievet, 20, was watching his niece, a girl police say is under the age of 12, when he sexually abused her.

The alleged attack took place at his home at the Bryant Place Apartments in Lebanon Junction, which he shares with other family members. Fievet was arrested on Monday and faces numerous charges including criminal abuse, unlawful imprisonment, sodomy, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

"That ain't good," said Mike Beaulieu, who lives nearby. "That's just nasty. I don't like people like that."

The arrests didn't stop there. Also taken into custody was the victim's mother, Kimberly Fievet, 27. She is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and criminal abuse.

Michael's mother, Tracy Fievet, who also lives in the same apartment, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

It's news that is very shocking to some neighbors. "Oh it surprised me," said Beaulieu. "My wife told me about that and it freaked me out."

Michael and Kimberly Fievet remain behind bars in Bullitt County.
