MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Have you ever wanted to tell off someone in your office? What about letting your frustrations go in a snarky email?

A former Memphian did just that and her email rant has gone worldwide to nearly 80 countries.

The email went out on August 5. Taylor Grey Meyer, who graduated from the University of Memphis in sports management.

"I have gotten emails from around the world, people who are out of work, people who are frustrated," said Taylor Grey Meyer.

Meyer has been trying for more than one year to break into the sports industry in San Diego when she got an e-mail from the Padres.

"It's actually an offer for me to apply to spend $495 on sales training which is basically capable of a job fair," she said.

Fed up with her search, she says that email was the last straw. She penned a reply that she never imagined would end up in the inboxes of sports professionals around the country.

"After careful review I must decline. I realize I may be burning a bridge here, but in the spirit of reciprocity, I would like to extend you a counter-offer to (expletive my expletive)," said a portion of the e-mail.

The e-mail ended in a way the reader will not soon forget, "Maybe I'm not the best fit for your company. But here's a nice fit, my foot in your (expletive)."

"These teams are capitalizing on people's desperation," said Meyer. "There's so many people out there that will do anything for a job."

Her e-mail response was forwarded around and when it was posted on the website deadspin.com, it went viral.

The former Memphian says she is now getting dozens of job offers and help from sports insiders impressed by that one email and her tiring efforts to land a job.
