DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) -

A Daviess County man has been arrested on several drug charges.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office received a tip from the Owensboro Street Crimes Unit of reportedly illegal drug activity at a residence on State Route 554 in Owensboro.

Deputies say they spoke to 34-year-old Travis H. Wilhite about the reports and Wilhite then produced a gallon jar of high grade marijuana.

Deputies say they then obtained a search warrant and then searched the residence.

Once inside the residence, deputies say they found grow operations in two separate rooms, which were both set up in the closets.

Authorities say they also found several guns, along with money, and several plants growing on the property outside. Deputies say they also found multiple paraphernalia items on the property.

Wilhite was arrested and taken to the Daviess County Detention Center and charged with several drug charges, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
