Closure on US 60 in Daviess County

Posted: Updated:
DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) -

CSX Railroad plans to close US 60 in western Daviess County on Tuesday, August 14.

This closure is to allow rail crossing work on US 60 at Daviess County mile point 4.250 in the Stanley Community.  This closure point is on US 60 between Griffith Station Road and KY 1554/French Island Road.

US 60 is expected to close at this site starting at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday.

The roadway at this site is expected to remain closed until after 8:00 p.m. that evening.

There will be a marked detour for local passenger vehicle traffic via KY 1554/French Island Road and Griffith Station Road.  This marked detour is for passenger vehicles only.

Due to the limited turn radius on the detour, all truck traffic between Owensboro and Henderson should detour via the Audubon Parkway.

It is highly suggested that all through passenger vehicle traffic between Owensboro and Henderson should also travel the Audubon Parkway to avoid delays on the detour.
