HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

A prosecutor recommends at least 15 years in prison for two Madisonville men linked to a series of home invasions and a fatal traffic accident.

Our media partner, the Madisonville Messenger, say 21-year-old Christopher Adams pleaded guilty to 1st degree manslaughter, 1st degree burglary and 1st degree assault.

22-year-old Phillip Windham pleaded guilty to 1st degree robbery, 1st degree burglary and 1st degree assault.

The sheriff's office says Adams, Windham, and two teenagers broke into three houses along US 62 in February of 2010.

Investigators say shots were fired in two of the homes and a 23-year-old woman was hurt.

One of the teens was killed in a car crash.

The other was never charged.

Formal sentencing is September 5.
