The 6-year-old
breakout star of TLC's "Toddlers and Tiaras" is getting her own show.
The young pageant
contestant Alana Thompson from McIntyre, Ga. -
better known as Honey Boo Boo - is now the star of her own reality
series.
"Here comes Honey
Boo Boo" follows the pint-sized Thompson and her family in Georgia. The
girl's mother June Thompson said her daughter started out in beauty pageants at
a young age.
"We decided to start
at the local mall pageants. And then we kind of snowballed. We started natural
pageants, and then to the glitz side. We prefer the glitz side more because she
loves to be all glammed up," Thompson said.
"Here
Comes Honey Boo Boo" premieres on WTOC at 10 p.m. Wednesday.
