POSEY COUNTY, IN (WFIE) -

Three vehicles were involved in a fatal accident on SR 62 west of Mt. Vernon in front of the Four Seasons Motel on Tuesday.

Officials say the three vehicles included a Dodge truck, a Ford truck and a semi.

Officials say they believe one of the vehicles crossed the center line, but say that right now they are unsure what caused the driver to cross the line.

Officials say an injury occurred in the Ford truck and that person was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Posey County Coroner confirms that 73-year-old James Gary Wilson was killed in the accident. Officials say he was driving the Dodge truck.

An autopsy is set for Thursday morning.

Due to the accident, SR 62 West was closed from Park Street to Old Highway 69s while crews worked that scene.

The road has since been reopened.
