EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Police are investigating an accident where a car drove across lanes of oncoming traffic and slammed into a parked car.

Police say 24-year-old Brandon Lewis-Brown told them he was driving east on Morgan Ave., when he said he either lost consciousness or fell asleep.

EPD says Lewis-Brown drove across two lanes of oncoming traffic, hit a bus stop bench and a parked car, the impact of the crash forcing the parked car into another car.

Lewis-Brown told police he was in a similar crash yesterday.

Police say Lewis-Brown will not be cited for the accident.

He was transported to the hospital to be checked out.
