Saturday, Mitt Romney made a stop in Evansville, campaigning for US Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock.
Many supporters say it's a visit they won't forget.
In front of an excited restaurant full of supporters Saturday, Mitt Romney outlined a five-point plan for America. Many at Stepto's Bar-B-Q Shack Saturday afternoon say, they're on board.
"They won't forget. Yeah, you don't get to do this every day," said Lainie Becker, who was excited about Romney's visit.
Saturday, many voters and families passed through security at Stepto's Bar-B-Q Shack to catch a glimpse of the presidential hopeful.
"We're so blessed to have him come to Evansville," said Nova Conner, who attended the event.
Four years after his last visit to the River City, Romney appeared Saturday alongside US Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock, who says politics is a "team sport," praising Romney for his plans to get America "back on track."
"We cannot have another four years of the bankrupt policies of Barack Obama," said Mourdock.
Romney outlined the five points he'd work on if elected, including growing small businesses and cutting budget deficits.
"There's only one place in America that doesn't seem to understand that you can't keep spending massively more than you take in, and that's Washington," said Romney.
He says, if in office, he'd make America energy independent in eight years.
"We will not need to buy any oil from Venezuela, from the middle east. We will be able to have the energy we need right here," Romney noted.
"He's had to get out there and work in the world, where a lot of people don't," Conner said. "I think that he will do an outstanding job."
After a promise for change and a quick bite to eat at the Bar-B-Q Shack, Romney was off to his next event, many supporters hoping they'll meet him again.
"He said, 'I'll be back when I'm President,'" recalled Conner. "I went 'Alright, we're going to see that.'"
After the speech, Romney made a second stop in Evansville, a private fundraiser at the home of American Patriot Group CEO Steven Chancellor.
