HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) -

Children interested in the field of forensics got their fill this week, as Audubon Park hosted its first ever Audubon Junior Forensic Science Camp.

Kids learned about finger printing, DNA and hair and fiber evidence in the week-long camp.

The camp wrapped up today as participants tried to solve a mock crime.

"It's important to introduce this to the kids so that they know it's OK if a cop comes up to you and asks you questions & that your not always guilty, and we talked to them yesterday about different fields that they could get into," said Michael Gibson, Assistant Naturalist at Audobon Park.

Gibson says they hope to have the camp again next year.
