SAN LUIS, AZ (CBS5) -
A 30-year-old man from San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico was arrested Wednesday for trying to smuggle more than 99 pounds of marijuana hidden in his tires, according to authorities.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection said they seized a total of 30 packages of marijuana inside all four tires of a Nissan sedan belonging to Joel Arturo Cano Garcia when he was trying to cross into the U.S. through the San Luis Port.
Garcia was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
