EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Get your resume ready because about 200 new temporary jobs are now available in Evansville.

The staffing firm filling those positions wants to hire those new workers right away.

The office for Global Employment Services, located at 600 North Weinbach Avenue, Suite 630, is the temporary staffing company filling these positions. They've already placed 55 to 60 people and still need about 200 more.

"We're here to stay. We're very, very happy to be in Evansville," said Executive VP Susan Zingora.

Global Employment Solutions may be new to town, but they're already getting down to business, beginning to fill dozens of temporary jobs at a local manufacturing company.

"We are in a huge crunch right now as their needs.  They've just signed a very large contract and their needs are going to require people upwards of 200," Zingora said.

Though she wouldn't reveal which company is looking for the extra hands, Zingaro says they're in need of employees for light industrial positions.

All shifts including weekends and overtime are up for grabs.

For Renee Weibert, job placement through Global Employment Solutions came at the right time.

"I was laid off on June 11th unexpectedly from a position I'd been at for almost a year that I really liked and was heartbroken over that, and had been looking every day, several hours a day online for a job," Weibert said.

The mother-of-six says Global actually contacted her after seeing her resume online.

Weibert was a little leery at first, but now she says, " The more I listened it was a legitimate job and it had very good pay. I think he contacted me on a Friday and I began working for the company on Monday."

Global Employment Solutions tells 14 News that previous industrial experience isn't necessary and training is involved.

We're told workers are able to purchase health care benefits on their first day on the job.

As for Weibert, she says the new position has been a challenge, but one she's grateful for.

The company says you can apply in person here 600 N. Weinbach Suite 630 and that they have job fairs every day here from 1-4 p.m.

You can also apply online, just visit the Global Employment Solutions website.

They say that background checks and drug testing will be done. Pay ranges depending on experience.

The company says in most cases if all goes well, these temporary jobs should hold through the end of the year.
