Several people were arrested on Meth charges during an investigation by the Evansville Police Department and investigators with the Narcotics Joint Task Force Meth Suppression Unit.
Monday evening around 7, officers went to 2607 W. Illinois to follow-up on a stolen vehicle report.
Police say when they arrived, they could smell a strong chemical odor coming from inside the house.
When an officer knocked on the front door, police say several people ran out the back door.
Police say they were all apprehended by officers who were watching the back of the house. Two more people were found hiding in the house. Officers also saw numerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine in the house.
Police arrested 53-year-old Jim Causey, 39-year-old James Moore, 29-year-old Joshua Norton, 19-year-old Jacqueline Thomas and 34-year-old Angela Norman on Manufacturing Meth charges. Moore was also charged with Resisting Law Enforcement.
Investigators from the JTF Meth Suppression Unit came to the scene to assist in the investigation and to dispose of the hazardous materials.
