There's a traffic alert today for Hopkins County drivers that's will last all week.
The construction is on Kentucky 281 or Island Ford Rd. and it's starts Monday morning at 7.
The road is closed because of slide repair and drainage work.
It's going to be closed through Tuesday evening from Kentucky 138 at mile point 16 through Kentucky 1033 at mile point 9.
Then for the rest of the week, from Wednesday through Friday, it'll be closed from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
No marked detours have been established by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Officials say roughly 100 vehicles travel on this road daily, so it's something to keep in mind for residents around the area.
The same kind of work was done recently on a section on Kentucky 85 near the Hopkins/McLean county line.
If you regularly travel on this road, you'll have to make alternate plans.
