"Celebrate Safety With the Evansville Otters" at Bosse Field

It's safety night at Bosse Field Friday night.

St. Mary's and Kohl's are teaming up to keep kids safe, and they are doing so by giving away hundreds of bike helmets and more.

Gates open at 5:00, Friday afternoon. The first 500 kids 12-years-old and under will all receive a free bike helmet, courtesy of St. Mary's.

Kids can also register for a chance at winning one of four free bikes, 2 boys bikes and 2 girls bikes will be given away.

Between games (it is a double-header), the St. Mary's LifeFlight helicopter will land in the outfield to deliver the baseball for the ceremonial first pitch.

The first game starts at 5:35 p.m.

The games will also be followed by a fireworks show.

This Safe Kids program and partnership between St. Mary's and Kohl's is in its seventh year.

The department store will present St. Mary's with a check for almost $100,000 to be used throughout the next year to educate kids and their caregivers about safety.
