Crews extinguish Alcoa blaze in less than an hour

A report of a fire at the Alcoa Warrick Plant Thursday night.

Crews from Yankeetown and Newburgh fire departments were on scene at the plant.

The fire reportedly broke out between coating lines, which are areas where coils of metal are taken to have coating applied to them.

An electrical panel is believed to have caught fire between the two production areas.

The fire was put out in less than hour.
