Around 100 acres of old farm land was burned in a fire near Hazleton Thursday night.
The fire was first reported by officials in Knox Co., who alerted Gibson Co. authorities.
The Hazleton Volunteer Fire Department and Indiana DNR and responded to the fire around 6:00 Thursday evening, northeast of Hazelton on Giro Rd.
The fire was reportedly put out by hand. According to the Gibson County Sheriff, the only way to get to fire was by UTV, a four wheel drive vehicle or boat.
There was no structure, property damage, or any injuries as a result of the fire.
