WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) -

Wednesday morning Indiana State Police and Warrick County Sheriff's Department were called to a report of a single vehicle crash on I-64 at the 31 mile-marker.

It happened around 11:30.

Authorities say their preliminary investigation revealed Thomas Sorensen, 63, of Fort Mill, SC, was driving his recreational vehicle westbound on I-64 when the right front tire blew.

Sorensen lost control and the vehicle left the roadway on the north side.

The RV traveled about 200 feet before striking several trees and coming to a stop on the north side of I-64.

Sorensen was also pulling an enclosed trailer with two motorcycles. He was traveling to South Dakota to attend the annual Sturgis Bike Rally.

He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville to be treated for a hand injury.
