UNION CO., KY (WFIE) -
A man was shot after getting into a fight at the bike rally in Sturgis on Saturday night.
The shooting happened at the Union County fairground campgrounds after the main activities were over at the rally.
According to Kentucky State Police, 44-year-old Leonard Warren from Tennessee was involved in a verbal argument with three other people that escalated.
Troopers say Warren pulled out a gun, and then another suspect fired at him, hitting Warren in the arm. The three others ran away.
Officials at the bike rally say the incident is isolated.
"There was a couple guys that got into a scuffle inside of a camper. They said the gun went off accidentally, and a guy was shot in the shoulder, went straight through. Took him to the hospital, but it was an accidental shooting," said organizer Carlene Thomas.
Warren was taken to Union County Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate.
